About Wild One Orchids & Gifts
Our Story
Wild One Orchids & Gifts originates from a desire to capture the essence of bright flowers and tropical breezes. My design experience developed from many years of working in a variety of floral shops from Chicago to New Mexico and now Florida. As a local florist, I would personally select the most beautiful orchids and reconstruct them into one-of-a-kind gifts for clients all over West Palm Beach, once known as “Orchid City”.
In fact, the state of Florida is home to at least 106 native orchid species. However, 58 of these are listed as endangered by the Atlas of Florida Plants and another 18 are now being threatened. With this knowledge, it became clear to me that we could all benefit from the idea of bringing “Orchid City” to Florida’s Capital. Tallahassee’s blend of warm climate, ample rainfall, and fertile soil nurtures the very existence of its many indigenous trees. Even amongst urban development, a significant portion of the city is covered by trees and Tallahassee prioritizes preserving its tree canopies. This lush landscape provides a natural habitat for orchids to grow and thrive which allows us to do our part to keep Florida blooming!
